Ghanaians are stingy and prefer lovemaking to attending musical concerts – Famous Blogger

By  |

Vociferous social media influencer and blogger,  David Mawuli has poured his anger and frustration on social media on some attitudes of Ghanaians that have affected the entertainment industry rather negatively over the years. Noted for his bold assessment of showbiz issues, David who is also the CEO of DM Network noted that, this behavior has caused the breakdown of the entertainment business. Below is his post….

“Ghanaians like indoor entertainment than outdoor. The popular quote: “all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”, doesn’t really work here in Ghana or hasn’t reached our boarders yet.

Ghanaians would have s*x all day indoors whiles playing dirty songs from Daddy Lumba or would cook, eat and sleep at 6pm and wake up at 6am.

They would be in their offices listening to every song of Wale, Sark, Stonebwoy, M.anifest, Medikal, etc with their expensive headphones. And would go to church every Sunday to sing all the songs of Ohemaa Mercy and the rest.

But, these same Ghanaians won’t pay to attend the concerts of these musicians. They are so stingy and would blame every gov’t for their stinginess.

Every day, Ghanaians be like: “the economy is hard so we don’t have money.”

Meanwhile, most of them work 12 hours a day. What’s the essence of working 12 hours every day for 5-6 days without spending a little to party or entertain yourself? Ghanaians, go out on weekends, have fun at concerts by paying a little to our artistes. If we do this, our industry will grow! #IndustryInsiders #Ghanafuo”
